Peruvian textiles have a distinguished history
that stretches back in time for over 5,000 years.
For millenia, expert Peruvian artisans have created
beautiful hand crafted works of wearable art
including dresses and veils, but perhaps their finest work is
found in their gorgeous, richly colored and finely
textured rugs, all using a variety of differt types of
looms developed by generations of craftspeople. Our
expert Peruvian artisans have created their own
particular designs and styles, all the while
incorporating time-honored traditional techniques. Each
example of these artisans' outstanding work
is as unique as the individuals who created them.
Many of the designs shown on our site are the very finest
examples of traditional Peruvian textile design, created
using the same time honored techniques used by their
forebears. All of our rugs are made of the
highest quality pure Alpaca wool, sheep wool or a blend
of both, all in natural colors or hand-dyed, created
using ancient hand-knotting techniques. Each gorgeous rug is
handmade and durable, easy to clean and care for, and
will become treasured family
