Jaime Pena, one of our expert craftsmen, has over 10 years
of experience in actively creating luxurious silver wearable art and
jewelry in Arequipa City. Jaime and the other
silversmiths in his factory work diligently
to shape the purest silver using time honored traditional
techniques combined with up to date artistry to fashion each
unique piece. All of Jaime's work reflects the influence of
various important Peruvian cultures, and each piece
produced in his factory reflects Peruvian cultural traditions
in jewelry, including turquoise stones as used by the Chavin
culture, gemstones set in the Huamanga style, and
spondilus set according to the Chimu tradition. Some pieces also
incorporate fabric fragments in the style of the Paracas and
Nazca cultures.
